Learn how to conduct and participate in hearings under the new Title IX regulations. This online training will provide you with the opportunity to gain or further develop your existing skills related to conducting and participating in Title IX hearings. In this course, we will discuss the new requirements under Title IX related to hearings, best practices in higher education hearings, as well as foundations of equity, due process, trauma-informed practices and upholding student and staff rights. 

Learning Objectives

  • Strengthen your knowledge of best practices in conducting and participating in Title IX hearings including roles of advisor of choice, decision maker, and hearing panel/officer. 

  • Understand how to determine and make appropriate determinations about cross-examination and evidence. 

  • Identify best practices in mitigating potential harm in hearings through ensuring there are necessary frameworks and expectations in place. 

  • Overview of what the new regulations require of hearings including documentation and equity standards. 

  • Identify best practices in serving students and staff and ensuring all parties are treated fairly.
