Learn the responsibilities required under the new Title IX regulations. This online training will provide you with the opportunity to gain or further develop your existing skills related to the role of Title IX Coordinator. Feel confident in your role by better understanding what is expected of a Title IX Coordinator and what foundational knowledge is required to make appropriate discretionary decisions.
Understand holistic topics of Title IX including athletics, sexual harassment, single-sex education, pregnant and parenting students, retaliation, and gender expression.
Identify up-to-date information on emerging topics such as due process and equity, coordinating support measures, and when an institution is expected to respond to complaints.
Gain a clear understanding of what the new regulations require, and where best practice and institution-specific response fits into larger compliance standards.
Identify what coordinated response and support looks like across campus and across student services, including confidentiality, supporting all parties throughout the process, as well as issues of consent and incapacitation.
Better understand how to oversee investigations, hearings and sanctions, as well as overall coordinated response and prevention efforts.
Identify barriers to reporting, both institutional and cultural, as well as a school’s responsibility in responding to disclosures.
