The mission of the Oregon K-12 Cohort on Sexual Violence Prevention & Response is to provide a space where Title IX professionals and other wellness and response educators in Oregon’s K-12 schools can connect and receive technical assistance. Beyond striving to ensure Oregon districts meet state and federal compliance standards, we will aim to build a consistent, comprehensive, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and student-centered prevention and response system to sexual violence in Oregon schools.
Topics for discussion will develop with the ongoing needs of cohort participants but may include:
-
Title IX - new regulations
-
Oregon's HB 3077 (2019)
-
Oregon's SB 155 (2019)
-
Mandatory reporters
-
Confidential Advocate resources
-
Drafting literature for students, parents/guardians, and staff
-
Response team structure
