This online training provides 4 hours of video instruction and fulfills Oregon's annual training requirements outlined in HB 3415 (2019). Questions on course material may be submitted through the course platform or discussed during weekly office hours, available by sign-up. 

 

Per the requirements of HB 3415, the information and materials contained in this training are gender-responsive (but not reliant on gender stereotypes) and account for the unique needs of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender nonconforming, and/or gender nonbinary.

  • Hearing Officers

  • Process Advisors

  • Investigators

  • Third-party Contract Investigators

  • Campus Security Officers

  • Others who assist with investigations 

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify Oregon definitions for sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, dating violence, and domestic violence. 

  • Examine conduct prevalence rates.

  • Understand trauma-informed best practices. 

  • Review best practices for addressing bias and increasing accessibility for students through the use of an anti-oppression framework.

  • Identify effective interviewing techniques.

  • Video lecture with PowerPoint presentation

  • Ability to send instructors questions

  • Optional weekly office hours via GotToWebinar available by sign-up

New Title IX Regulations

This training is up to date with the current Title IX and Oregon state-based regulations and guidance.

Certificate of Completion

Certificates of completion will be delivered by email. Certificates will only be emailed to students who have completed the course in its entirety.

Payment

We have decided to cover credit card processing fees to encourage online payments as many are away from offices. 

Other

Students will have 60 days from their date of registration to complete the online course.
